Hyperspace Trouble! Customer Service Issue!!
Okay nothing major here in this blog other than I paid for a Hyperspace renewal and have heard nothing. I sent them their money for another year of Hyperspace here at Star wars dot com back in mid february .... remember that MID FEBRUARY.

It is now April 10th and i have not heard back from my FOUR MESSAGES TO CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I simply wanted to know the money went through okay and that when my membership in May 16th runs out that it will renew.

I sent the first message at the end of February, the second March 3rd, the third March 16th, he fourth March 25th and finally the latest on April 7th.

No answer for any of these ..... nothing. It is like nobody is there and hopefully by making a blog someone will see of some importance and take care of this.

.... maybe not.

I just assumed the Hyperspace FAQ pages are there for when it doesn't answer your questions it offers members a way to message people in the know about this sort of stuff and that it was there to actually be answered with a simple email saying "yes we received your payment and you are all set" or "We did not receive your payment here is what we can do about that".

Seems simple enough .... yet still no response.

I'll wait it out some more and see what happens.

I mean I am sure the people running the website here would not like to see complaints about customer service posted in a blog for the world to see who may decide not to buy a membership afterwards but a simple email would have taken care of business. There are no phone numbers for a customer to call ... no email addresses to contact. All there is for us to use is a messaging system which may be malfunctioned for all I know because I find it impossible to believe a paying cutomer would go almost 2 months with a few messages sent not having one single one of them answered.

Well this isn't intended to make anyone upset or angry, I am just looking for results. maybe my money was lost somehow .... who knows .... I don't because nobody responds to the messages *shrug*

It's a pain, huh. Hopefully, you'll hear something soon... but I wouldn't count on it. ;)

Hi MegaTrends,
Just double backed and we do not have any messages from you in our StarWars.com customer support mailbox. We manage our online store and website differently for customer service.

Can you communicate where exactly you sent your inquiry?

Regardless, if you purchased Hyperspace from StarWarsShop.com, you can place an inquiry here for customer support.

My experience with Hyperspace--under any ownership--is to send them the money and then forget I did. Eventually, someday, the membership kit, or first magazine, or whatever arrives. I assume they received your payment because you are still able to post blogs. However, your fan club kit (if you ordered one), in my experience, can take about four months to arrive.

Looks like your question got answered. I was going to suggest that you just wait and see whether or not you receive a warning about your Hyperspace membership ending within 2 weeks of its ending time. If you don't get a warning, then you got your membership renewed. ;) Glad you are renewed for another year!

Quite a result there, MT.
Could you have a look at my wife's medical insurance too?

I thought when you bought your renewal you got a code to enter to extend your membership... at least I did, otherwise I wouldn't be here... But I'm impressed you got a response so fast, woo hoo, things are improving around here!

That is the same form I used 4 times already, maybe it was 5 times. No answer either time just the automated response stating my message will be answered which it never was.

I have responded to the email sent to me. I should specify I used the printed order form and sent a money order to pay for it.

I've received that email. I also saved all the email automated responses from your website the first dated march 3rd probably a month after i sent the money. I copied and pasted it into my response.

I would like you to keep in mind that I am 39 yrs old and not interested in making up stories to weasel $15 out of a website. it would be less hassle just to pay it.

... also I might add :)

I DID send the money and have the money order stub. Hopefully tracking what happened to it and who cashed it won't be difficult. I am pretty certain it was you guys who did though.

Last year you sent my membership kit to a wrong address out of state by mistake and am wondering if my money was credited to the wrong account or something in the same way. I did get the membership kit after emailing you guys about it. I forget now what the other address or name was but you asked me if I was that one and after saying i wasn't i sent you the correct address.

Yes that is true except I printed out an order form and mailed a money order. Also my membership doesn't run out until May 16th, I renewed early "just because".

Also I can send you all 4 automated responses from your website that you have no record of. i would be more than happy to.

This coming week i am going to have my bank track down my money order from the stub info since they issued it themselves through their own money order system it should not be difficult to find out if it were cashed and by whom.

i'll be in touch.

Wow, talk about customer service -- two VIP responses!

That depends on your viewpoint, I contacted them 4 times previously through their customer service form on the Star wars Shop site and they say they never received them and had to make a blog here to get this taken care of.

I have those messages in my inbox and copied and pasted one of the four as proof to them. My bank is running a check on the money order and i was told they would call me Monday to let me know who cashed it.

*CASE CLOSED*

I received this message from these folks and I am satisfied to say the least. I expected some service but not THIS good a service.

Fantastic.... they may have just made a customer for life with this gesture.

From the email they sent me .... nice!

John,

We are going to go ahead and extend your Hyperspace access out another year and send you a kit all the same. Apologies for all the hassle.
