The Making Of Star Wars book!!
I recently bought a couple of things of STAR WARS variety ... the absolutely excellent huge book called The making of Star Wars .... the Star wars site had an article about it HERE

I took some pictures with a digital camera of some pages to give an idea of how beautiful they are. The book also has the complete explanations of different storylines tried out and changes that were made. This is an absolutely fascinating read.

I bought it for $35 but saw it on the Walmart website for $22 and some change. They also had the hardcover version for around $45. I swear you will love this book and you should go buy it. This is just wonderful.

In my opinion also I believe you will be impressed with the paper quality and artwork printed is stunningly crisp. The photos have a gloss-like look to them and the paper does not. You can see the lip of the photos are slightly raised above the height of the paper they are printed on giving them a very high quality look and feel. In other words you know you have something special just by looking at the obvious quality.

Also it has a great "new book smell" to it.

This is the book I bought called THE MAKING OF STAR WARS. People should look at this virtual book to see how awesome it is. Click on the link, look on the right of the page and just flip through the entire book. When you see a page that you wish to see closer just select it and click it.

Quickly you will see how this book is the awesomest book ever.

The Star Wars site also has a p[age dedicated to it http://www.starwars.com/episode-iv/bts/article/news20070426.html

If you have purchased this book gimmeeee your thoughts about it and of the content. I love the scanned handwritten pages Georgie wrote himself with a pencil. Nice touch to add thise stuff as well as the storyline changes and explanations of why.

Yep - this has rapidly become my next 'must have' - and will be closely followed by the pop-up book on its way...

Thanks for the recommendation, NP.

I picked up the hard cover the day it came out. I didn't get a chance to start reading it until the other day, I'm only about 60 pages in but, WOW what and AWESOME read so far. What I've really in found interesting is the summaries for the first and second drafts of the film, all the parallels, events, names, character's and situation's that became the PT. I sat back and watched The Phantom Menace for the umpteenth the other day and I couldn't help but see all these parallels. What a great read for the greatest six film saga....of all time.

The best part of books, of course!

Am I the only one that thinks Luke either looks really high or really constipated in that picture?
