In ROTJ we all know that Luke forgives his father at the end, thus allowing Anakin to redeem himself. However, would Luke have been so quick to forgive him had he known about Anakin murdering the Tusken Raiders, the Younglings, or God forbid, choking Padme?
Luke never knew his mother, but he never realised that the reason he didn't even get the chance was because of his own father's malice and lust for power.
The Swarm War recently touched on this subject as Luke found out more about the incidents surrounding Padme's demise, but this plot thread was never resolved. Do you think he would have been so quick to forgive Anakin had he known the truth? And how would the Saga have changed if Luke couldn't forgive him?
