Star Wars IS Forever
Peering over the endless papers of Algebra, APUS history, and English homework, I decided that enough was enough. It seems that around this time every year, I find the homework Hutt weighing me down. On this particular day, though, I tossed out one of those screaching squirmy slimy little frog creatures and that Hutt went a' slinking along after the tasty morsel. So, brushing aside that soon to be due argumentative essay, I headed down for some rest and relaxtion.

And, as Star Wars fans, we know that means watching a Star Wars episode for the bahgillionth time!

So, this night just happened to scream out good ol' Sith. Comfortably plopped in the most perfect way on my sofa I slowly let my mind ease away into the Star Wars universe that I take solace in when the grip of the evil Empire tightens its grasp on my little outer rim world.

Yet, this time something really snapped. I genuinely felt like I was back at the midnight show to top all midnight show this past May. I soaked in Sith as if I was seeing it with fresh eyes. The eye popping visuals seemed crisper than ever and each zooming star craft whizzed by on either sides of my head. What hit me hardest of all, though, seemed to be the story. Time and again Obi kept pulling my heart strings and Palpatine making my spine tingle and geese fly up my arms.

I picked up on the different acting nuances, Johnny's fantastic score, and a scene that before hand had never come at me with such force. That one scene right before Anakin heads out to Palp's office to make his fateful choice and him and Padme have this E.T. like connection. Ooooooo...

On this particular viewing (twenty-something...who cares?) I was shot through hyperspace and found myself just reminiscing on the before Sith anticipation, CIII, and seeing the Sith trailer for the first time...again...and again...and again... In fact, I even watched it once more and those booming drums, with scenes attacthed to them that hold so much more impact in the trailer than the movie, washed over me.

I know, I know...awww...a wittle sappwey lovey lovey story...and I didn't mean to waste some ample Star Wars viewing time, but I thought that it would just be nice to remind others of this is why we are Star Wars fans. Everybody has their own unique midnight tale and all are awesome in every right. Mine, personally, ended with what is now known among my friends as the 'Star Wars Jump'; the moment when, after Sith ended, I let all of my bottled energy explode.

And you know all of us will be glued to our monitors once more when the first teaser for the television show crops its sneaky little jawa eyes around the canyon rocks.

Star Wars is truly forever...
