Star Wars Enters Oblivion
I believe, that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is exactly what a Star Wars RPG should be like. Let me explain.

The Elder Scrolls is a videogame series that takes place in the mythical realm of Tamriel and each game is usually centered on a specific province of Tamriel. It is a beautifully massive environment and like KOTOR you can be given quests and travel to cities and so on and so forth. But then again the world of Cyrodiil (the province you play in Oblivion) is roughly 16 square miles, not even considering water coverage, and the more than 200 underground dungeons as well as the infinite realm of Oblivion.

Now what I was thinking was why not try and focus on a specific planet in the Star Wars Universe and try to create a world similar to that of Oblivion. I also believe that it could even be localized in a small system. You could raise money on the planet and buy a starship and use it to go to smaller nearby planets, moons, and space stations. This game could take place at anytime and anywhere, but I'd like to see one done about the planets hardest hit by the Mandalorian War, but that's just my own opinion.

Another thing that I believe Star Wars RPG's could pick up from Oblivion is it's combat system. One trigger to attack, the other to defend, and all the other buttons affect different actions. Stealing, Murdering, and getting Arrested is another realistic touch that could be added to KOTOR. Imagine if you were sent to jail for murder and Force-Persuaded the guards to let you go. And one last thing before my little rant is done, I want my own custom house or starship and not some busted up Ebon Hawk for the next KOTOR game.
