This blog will be about the Halcyon family and their impact on the Star Wars Galaxy. And for those of you that don't know, Corran Horn is the most illustrious of the Halcyons to most Star Wars fans.

Keiran Halcyon-(circa 380 BBY)
He was one of the many Corellian Jedi Knights that lived and operated within the system. Keiran earned his fame though when he prevented the Selonian Afarathau cult from eliminating the humans from within the Corellian system's borders in 380 BBY. He used a silver-bladed lightsaber, with the silver coming from the unusual inclusion of a Durindfire crystal. The entire Halcyon family could not use telekinetic Force, and Keiran was no exception, but they had two rare Force abilities called alter mind and absorb energy.

Nejaa Halcyon-(81-19 BBY)
Nejaa was an average Jedi Master, except that he concealed the fact that he was married and had a child named Valin. When Corellia closed its borders when the Clone Wars erupted, Nejaa led a contingent of Jedi to Coruscant saying that they would fight in the war but that they would always be connected to their homes on Corellia. Before the Clone Wars, he lost his ship, the Plooriod Bodkin, to the Freedom Sons leader Zozridor Slayke. During the final months of the Clone Wars, Nejaa and Anakin led a small force of clones to reinforce Freedoms Sons at Praesitlyn. They were up against almost a million battle droids but due to brilliant planning and a few suicidal moves made by Anakin the battle was won. Though Nejaa died in 19 BBY, it wasn't from Order 66. He and two other Jedi were sent to uncover the Sith but instead found the Jensaarai, a Sith-inspired cult. He was killed by the Anzati Dark Jedi Nikkos Tyris but managed to kill him before he finally succumbed to his wounds.

Corran Horn/Halcyon-(18 BBY-Present)
Corran started out as a Corsec officer after his father and always had little hunches and instincts that helped him; little did he know that it was the Force guiding him. A few years after Bossk murdered his father Valin, he joined Wedge Antilles' new Rogue Squadron. He served on many campaigns until his capture on the Lusankya during the Liberation of Coruscant. From there he found and ancient museum and discovered that his grandfather was Nejaa Halcyon. After the Liberation of Coruscant and the Bacta War, he finally accepted Luke's invitation to join the Jedi Academy. He left though to rescue his wife from the pirate Invids and had a run-in with the Jensaarai. During the Yuuzhan Vong War, he killed Shedao Shei but he could not prevent the destruction of Ithor. During the Dark Nest Crisis, he attempted to leave the Jedi Order in light of is actions in the brief Jedi schism but decided not to leave. Corran favored a dual-phase lightsaber that was silver just like Nejaa's and Keiran's.
