LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga is a video game announced by LucasArts on May 25, 2007 at Celebration IV. It is based on the Star Wars-themed toy line by the LEGO Group, and is a combination of the highly successful LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game and its sequel LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. The game has been announced for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and Nintendo DS.
The Complete Saga gives a humorous look on the movies of both the prequel trilogy and the original trilogy. The game is being developed by Traveller's Tales, who was also responsible for the other games in the series. LucasArts is publishing the game as they did with LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. It contains the levels and characters of the first two games, but has additional content for the levels. A total of 160 characters will be available. The levels originally found in LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game are reported to have content similar to those in LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy such as powerbricks and vehicles. New game features will include enhanced Force powers, new power-ups, and a new Challenge Mode.
There are reported to be 36 levels in this game, many of which are the same as those found in the original games. A level involving the pursuit of bounty hunter Zam Wessell will be added (this was a deleted level from LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game). It has also been said that the game will include "the Trade Federation's "negotiations" with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn in The Phantom Menace" and "the space battle above Endor in Return of the Jedi". The "Mos Espa Podrace" and "Gunship Cavalry" levels will be redesigned to encourage the open vehicle gameplay of LEGO Star Wars II. Bonus levels and 10 additional Bounty Hunter Missions will new challenges in the Prequel Trilogy.
The Complete Saga will include 160 playable characters. All of the playable characters from the original games are included and several new ones, such as Watto, Zam Wessell, Boss Nass will be as well. The Character Customizer will include the Prequel Trilogy characters, expanding its customization options well beyond those in LEGO Star Wars II.
