Hello everyone!

My family had Christmas last weekend, as some of my family is going away over December and January. I got a gift certificate to Chapters - I read a lot, so naturally I really wanted to get to go to the store and spend my money.

So when I finally got to the store yesterday, I knew I would by at least something SW. I wanted to buy some things that I wouldn't usually buy, so I was looking through the New Essential Guides. I always wanted to get one (I already do have the old Guide to Vehicles and Vessels), but they're soo expensive - $25 American and $35 Canadian.

After much deliberation, at the extreme disbelief of my older sister, I bought the Essential Chronology. I also bought the novel of the musical Wicked, as I saw the play with school this week. If you ever get a chance, go see it!! It's amazing.

But anyways... when I went to go to bed last night, I decided to read some of it. Oh my goodness. Let's just say I realize why it's worth as much as it is. Amazing amounts of work have been put into it. I completely lost track of time, and I got through the Formation of the Republic, the Emergence of the Sith, and half of the Legacy of the Sith. I never dreamed that the book would be in so much detail!

If, like me, you didn't want to buy the Essential Guides because of their price, go buy one anyways! They're completely worth it. Even in the few pages I've read, I've learned so much that I probably wouldn't have ever known.
