Ten Blogs Later...
Hello everyone!

It occured to me just a few moments ago that I've written ten blogs, excluding this one and my first (as that one didn't really have any substance, like most other "1st's"). I wanted to take a moment to reflect on my (however very short) time here in Blogsville, and what I've gotten from it.

To date, I have talked about SW experiences, what's wrong with SW, Hallowe'en and SW costumes, the slogan ''SW is Forever", duct tape's relation to The Force, the director of SW, Star Trek, the New Essential Chronology, and Darth Plagueis. It's nice to think that I've been able to talk about all these things with people who care for the same things I do, and not be judged for it.

I've had such a great time here, and I really think that this site is an amazing way for people to connect and to discuss something that is mutually very important to them. I think more of this needs to happen in this world, and that if it did it would be a much better (albeit less controverisal - which is a good and bad thing) place. People need to understand that even if they think they are all alone, they do have somewhere to go, and that many people are in their very same position.

I was greatly prejudged and disliked at a school that I transfered to in grade 4. It was a terrible experience for me, and I was not a very happy person when I was there. But then, I changed schools again, and went to an amazing French Immersion school where everyone was accepted and cared very much for each other. After only two short years there, I graduated at the very top of my class, and was very content with my place in life. (And yes, this does have something to do with the topic.)

I think that this blogging site is like that school I went to - it is a place where no one is judged, and everyone is accepted for who they are. I never really realized this until I started blogging, and it has made a profound impact on me. That's not to say that it has 'changed' me, per se, but I just think that at this point in my blogging life, it was time for me to say this. I only wish that more kids who are like I was found the place that made them feel good, like that new school.

Or here.

And if this is what I've felt after only ten blogs, I can't imagine what is going to happen here in the future. With me, and with everyone else.

May the Force be With You.

Well. You worried me. It sounded like in the beginning you were planning to leave. Glad you found acceptance. I did. Here, as well. Also a few people here have helped me find acceptance at school and have helped me become more confident. Write more blogs. I order thee to.

It's a great feeling to not be judged on something as silly as a movie we like. I don't know, I don't make fun of other people because they like Gone with the Wind or Sound of Music (though don't push me on that subject or I will start flinging jokes!) so I don't know why my liking Star Wars is such an easy target.

Glad you found a home here with the rest of us! We're happy to have you and can't wait to keep reading your stuff!

I transferred between many different schools when I attended elementary, middle, and high school. Some of the moves were good, others were not. It takes a great deal of courage to deal with change, especially for a child whom has so little say in what goes on.
Good luck with your blogging and your schooling...take care!
