My NJO Trek Begins...
Hello everyone!

I've been saying it for so long, I never thought the time would ever come! I finally started reading The New Jedi Order! I'm ridiculously excited... it's actually pretty sad how excited I am, come to think of it... But oh well! :D

I'm now about 125 pages into Vector Prime, and I'm absolutely loving it! And, yes, I realise that I'm a bit behind the times, but I was 8 when VP came out! Now I know I just have to read through NJO quickly so I can get to Legacy... it could be a while, though, which slightly troubles me. Hearing little bits and pieces of the plot on the blogs, sw.com, and other places on the internet, it's hard to not be reading them!

-----

Not that this is very exciting, but I was being geeky the other day (more than usual, that is ;)) and I started to count my books. I figured out that I have exactly 50 SW books, including the Essential Guides, Cross-Sections, Visual Dictionaries, etc. In total, I have 94 books, including SW, ST, HP, and everything else. Just thought I'd randomly write this since I just figured it out!

-----

I was looking around the SW section in one of my local used book stores (they are actually the best thing that has happened to books since their invention!), and I found a Splinter of the Mind's Eye! I've always wanted one, but I've never ever ever seen one in person! I was so surprised and excited that I just had to buy it! And the best part? It only cost me THREE DOLLARS! Now there's a steal if I've ever seen one!

-----

Straying from the topic of books slighly, I was looking around on Wikipedia, looking for a list of prime numbers (for math class... I don't do these things for fun... often...) when I stumbled across this article. There's a section about the Number 47 Conspiracy, which I absolutely love! And I was surprised... SW is apparantly part of it! I never realised this! I hope other people find this as interesting (and needless to say funny) as me!

May the Force be With You, Happy 30th Anniversary, and See you at Celebration IV in 18 days, 17 hours!

Looking at the stars always makes me dream, as simply as I dream over the black dots representing towns and villages on a map. Why, I ask myself, shouldn't the shining dots of the sky be as accesible as black dots on the map of France?

I look forward to reading about your NJO journey. I'm about halfway through at the moment. I've stalled out a bit, but am trying to pick back up.

I am still only up to Attack of the Clones. I am half way through it. So I have a while. However before I started reading the books in chronological order, I read the second and third books in the NJO. Anyway it sounds like you like to read; so do I. Anyway, have a great day.

Yay. So glad you're excited about NJO... not that I've finished it myself. I started it long ago, and drifted to and from it. I will eventually get back to it, but I've just been more interested in other eras lately. So, I'm glad you're excited about reading :D

Betrayal is in paperback now BTW.

All 19 at once! That's hard to do! It took me months to get them all! How are you going to get them all at one time?

Darth Who?
That is the big question, D_Hiram! Even though I'm not reading them (yet...) I'm still looking forward to see what his name's going to be!

So glad you're excited about NJO... not that I've finished it myself. I started it long ago, and drifted to and from it.
Ya see I can't do that... drift away from things, I mean. When I start something, be it a book, a series of books, a TV show, anything, I can't stop! (And I haven't yet figured out if this is a great thing or a curse!) ;)

Woah!! Thanks for this, jk! I just checked (I never thought that I would have done it by accident!), and I noticed that I blacklisted Sarlaac Pit!! I'm so sorry! Hope you didn't try to comment and couldn't!

Thanks again, everyone! I hope my NJO journey is as exciting as I hope it to be!

MTFBWY, and Happy 30th Anniversary! (17 days!)

Nice entry! Although I'm not a big EU reader, I think alot of the storylines, characters etc. are cool. And I love used bookstores! It really is amazing what you can find there, and at great prices..... alot of older books are hard to find! :D

Great Van Gogh quote, BTW. I love his work!

ps Don't worry about the b-listing, I knew it was accidental. ;) Thanks, jk!

Amazon is a wonderful thing. I'm buying them used for an average of $1.05 per book! It's AWSOME!!!

Unfortunately, after I wrote this, I realized that tey were being shipped from about ten different places, so it was charging me an additional 3.47 for each place it was being shipped from. Because of this, the price more than tripled. :( Oh, well. My search goes on...
