The Force... and Duct Tape?

Hello everyone!

I just got an email from an absolutely amazing person - my old babysitter, Mary. Even though we live on opposite sides of the country, and she hasn't babysat me (or lived on the same street) for years, she still keeps in touch with me and my family. She's the most amazing babysitter and friend anyone could hope for! (And she's becoming a teacher - I'm jealous of her to-be-students!)

In her email, she pointed out to me a t-shirt she saw that said, "The force is like duct tape - there's a light side and a dark side and it binds the galaxy together." She thought it was funny (as do I) and wanted to know what a SW fan's perspective would be. I think it's great. Whoever thought that up must have been genius! I know I couldn't have made that connection!

So what are your thought on this? Funny, insulting, just downright odd?

date Posted: Nov 15, 2006 8:14 PM FUNNY! I've heard that before, but it still makes me chuckle. Did you know that there's a scholarship ($1000 I think) for whomever wins the duct tape "Stuck on Prom" contest? Prom-goers are encouraged to dress up for the big dance using duct tape and they can enter pictures for the contest. Oddly enough, some friends of mine won it in 2002!
