Politics Don't Belong on starwars.com
I click onto starwars.com and there I see on the site ads for the Barack Obama campaign.

I'm heartily sick of the entertainment industry trying to push its one-sided views, and I have noticed in ways large and small starwars.com's liberal bias over the past few years. But this is ridiculous!

Listen up, starwars.com people. I realize you are in San Francisco, the most left-wing city outside of Beijing or Havana. But as incredible as it to believe, there are millions of people spread out across the land who are not liberals. I'm a lifelong Star Wars fan and a conservative. I'm not alone either; there are many fans who are conservative, libertarian, or just plain middle-of-the-road centrists. It is a violation of the trust Lucasfilm has with all Star Wars fans to use the fandom to push a political agenda or candidate.

Now I'm sure some of you are going to say, "But what if they were McCain ads? Would you still be upset about it?"

The answer to that question is, "Well, yeah." starwars.com shouldn't be used to promote any of that stuff.

I'm sure some of you are going to say, "But somebody paid for that ad." Or, "It's a random flash ad."

Well, here's my answer to that. Do you really think starwars.com would feature ads for the National Rifle Association, National Right To Life, or any other conservative organization? Consider me skeptical.
