It is about time. Congrats to the "Maker", George, for living out a dream, making it happen and letting us, the fans, enjoy the ride. And, of course, for letting us play in the Star Wars "sand box" we so much adore and love. YOU GO GEORGE. Keep up the great work...We (the fans) can't get enough...BRING IT ON MR. LUCAS!!

How COOL to see Harrison present the award to GL! Talk about coming full circle. I don't know if SW has ever received any other awards, but for GL to receive this special award, voted on by the fans, and to have Harrison present it, started me blubbering. Admitedly, I'm a total sap and I'm all about the "schmaltz", but that was a really cool moment to honor the last of the SW films. :_|

Lucas deserves this honor more than any other film maker. What he had done with the Star Wars saga goes far beyond that of anyone else.
