The good news and bad news about new custom shirts at Shop.StarWars.com
Not too long ago, I got a custom raglan style Anakin shirt from Zazzle/ShopStarWars.com. As I hoped, they now have a zillion images to select from all 6 movies and the Clone Wars cartoons. You can get Leia shirts. You can get Padmé shirts (!!). You can get shirtless cartoon Anakin shirts (!!!!). Lucas Licensing has made this t-shirt junkie very happy, if not very broke. And best of all, I can now put my (real) name on shirts! Somebody finally figured out there are more people with my name than "Mary Helen."

But now for the bad news. I had the phrase "Chosen One" put on my Anakin shirt before. Well, if you go to the Anakin section and click on the phrases button, all of the cool and respectful things like "Chosen One" and "Warrior of the Infinite" are gone. Instead are a bunch of things that seem to be written by some Ani-hater: "Nobody Likes A Whiner" "Future Ex-Boyfriend" "Drama Queen" "I Heart Mullets" or worst of all "Regular or Extra Crispy." WTF? Is this how to treat the main hero of the saga?! Obi-Wan fans can choose to have "40 Year Old Virgin" on their t-shirts. I am not kidding.

I have a sense of humor about SW but this is ridiculous. I'm going to drop a line to ShopStarWars.com's customer service. Another problem is that they have a Padmé image in the Leia section (eyeroll). For now, I think I'll get a Leia shirt and a Padmé one. At least the phrases aren't "PMS-ing" or "I Love Stalkers!"

"Regular or Extra Crispy." o_o

I must say, I've cracked that joke, myself. And I can often stand SW bashing jokes, but this goes a tad too far. Gah, it's like a slap in the face; and he's, like you mentioned, the main hero of the entire saga! And uh, "40 year old Virgin"? Poor Obi-Wan; I agree, I think I'll send a complaint or at least a hint of one by customer service, too..

Ummm, if you don;t like the sayings than don't buy the shirt or don't put them on. I cans ee suggesting some, but complaining about them is completely pointless.

well if you want to suggest some Pro-Ani slogans go here and I'll see what I can do about adding a few:

Also, I think you all need to understand that some fans like to poke fun at the saga, so you're not going to always have super-serious slogans. There's room for both.

And technically, Obi is a 40-year-old virgin.

bonniegrrl--Well, technically you are right about Obi-Wan, but it'll be interesting to see how many SW fans will be caught wandering around with that phrase plastered on their shirts ;). Pardon my crankiness, I'm not all that serious about things (you should see some of the polls I've run). And thanks for the link :D.

jedimasterninks--Obviously I'm not going to put a slogan I don't like on my shirt. There's nothing wrong with asking for a little respect one's favorite character; if you don't say anything, nothing's going to change, right?

I agree with you MissPadme, only last night I discovered the custom tees in SWShop.com and I've already ordered 3!!! I was very pleased to get a tee with my two beloved droids cartoon style and being able to add "We're doomed!" to that particular tee... But I am definately going to suggest a "Never tell me the odds" and "Sometimes I even amaze myself" or even "Flyboy" lines to the Han Solo images... ;)
