As a comic...it's a pretty good start. The art and writing are as top notch as always from Ostrander and Duursema. As I've mentioned a few times here, I'm not crazy about the premise of this SW EU era. And it looks like this Sith crew has ditched the Rule of Two which worked a heck of a lot better than the non Rule of Two which instigated a lot of infighting among the Sith.
That said, Cade is most certainly a Skywalker. The story begins when the Sith, allied with the neo Empire, attack the Jedi academy at Ossus (the Temple on Coruscant has already fallen...uh-gain). Cade's father Kol croaks after ripping off Gandalf's "none shall pass" line from LOTR and his Master is mortally wounded. Cade had tried to help his father on the battlefield but Pops sent him off on a shuttle with the wounded Master. Cade freaks and uses the Dark Side to bring his Master back from death. Then he hops into a fighter and tries to blow some Imps out of the sky to make himself feel better. The other Jedi warn him not to do that, but Cade (like Anakin in the Clone Wars cartoon) pretends he can't hear them, then his ship seems to explode. Meanwhile the Sith take over the Empire. So much for having a benign dictator! Emperor Fel though is still running around and Darth Krayt, the main baddie, senses Cade's use of the Dark Side and thinks he might be a worthy apprentice. Geez, didn't Krayt know what happened the last time the Emperor took a Skywalker on as an apprentice?
At the very least, Cade seems like he might be a fun guy to read about. We'll see with issue #2.
