On Monday, I got my CIV 4-day pass with no fuss and no muss and today I got one of GenCon's blocked off rooms at The New Otani. I was lucky in regard to the latter because not only was it a pretty good price for what seems like a nice hotel, but also because the blocked off rooms at ALL of the hotels sold out very quickly.

After missing out on Celebration III, I almost feel unnaturally charmed by the luck I've had with Celebration IV. First, Los Angeles is two hours away by car. I had no trouble getting a pass and now I lucked out with a room relatively close by.
