My paper on ol' Ben Kenobi
The piece is a little long, so I'll link to it, but it notes how Obi-Wan (in the OT) is a wizard of sorts:

Oh and be sure to look around the rest of the site too ;).

Wow, MissPadme. You really put some thought into this. Good job pointing out the parallels between SW and other stories. I enjoyed reading this.

That was great, Miss Padme!! I knew there were connections with other stoires of Wizards, but did not know the depth of the stories. What a wonderful way to connect everything.

Wonderful job :)

Both Obi-wan and Gandalf, knowing that it was not their role to be the bearer of the resposibility of the quest, sacrifice themselves in a sense to make the hero to find the strength in themselves to go on their own path and fulfill the destiny bestowed upon them.

They both also became stronger in their own powers in doing so. Being reborn into something much grander than themselves.

Really great paper. :)

One could also bring Albus Dumbledore into that, if you've read the Harry Potter books that is. ;)

Thanks everyone!

gold5, that's certainly true.

Turgon, I would've mentioned Dumbledore as well except I'm not as versed in Harry Potter.
