As it turns out, the e-mail and request to send a credit card number by fax (mentioned in yesterday's post) was LEGIT. After the original recipient contacted TheForce.Net about it yesterday, JediMom from TFN checked around and found out it did come from the company that handles Insider/Hyperspace renewals after all. Lucas Online contacted the recipient and cleared up the whole matter.

Even though this ended well, it was still not terribly professional on the part of the company in the first place. Legit or not, always check out these things before giving anyone your private information.
