The Shockwave is an Super Star Destroyer
Within the novel Darksaber there was this ship Shockwave right at the beginning. It was described bigger as the other Star Destroyers around it, and it could destroy a Victory-class with one shot (all weapons combined). There was somehow a debate what type of class, until The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia said it was a Imperial-class Star Destroyer (as the Wookieepedia mention).

But that's somehow odd when you compere the describtion in the novel (and it's german translation). So I asked the author Kevin J. Anderson:

"Dear Mister Anderson,

[...] While your SW novels more or less are based upon the story of the Dark Empire comics, you included a the ship Shockwave into your Novel Darksaber. This ship, as you describe it, resembles the oversized, hangar-less Star Destroyers from the comics. As they have no real name (until today) you just describe it as bigger compared to the other twelve Star Destroyers surrounding it. My question is now, if you have intended that this both ship classes to be the same, although they have no name, beside the unofficial Allegiance-class by Curtis Saxton, Gauntlet Star Destroyers or now Imperial-class Super Star Destroyer as the Wookieepedia now lists it.
"

Well his short answer was:

Dear ------,
[...] To answer your question, I believe it was my intention that the Shockwave was an Imperial-class Super Star destroyer.

KJA"
