 | Kit Fisto |
There are always those minor characters in all movies that everyone seems to take a liking to. In Lord of the Rings, it was Faramir (not necessarily a minor character, but not one of the leads). In Star Wars, it's Kit Fisto. I found it depressing that I never got to hear him speak in any of the movies. Granted, he may not have been a central character, but I found him to be...simply amazing. I think he won me over with his smile. Even in the Clone Wars, while we do see him, he still never speaks. I've read the novel version of Episode III, in which he does speak, and I got sad cause that part wasn't in the movie. Oh well. Can't always win I guess. Right now I'm reading Cestus Deception, in which he's a main character. Good so far, but haven't had much time to read due to school work and all my other obligations.
I do have to say I'm sad that he died, but the way he died in the book is definitely better than he died in the movie. He had his classic grin when he died. Def a good way to end his life.
Have a great week

I agree with everything you said, save for one thing....
There has never been a more beloved minor character
Now, I know you said this was in your opinion, but I truly believe this honor fall squarely onto Boba Fett. A character who was never named in his original film debut (though, unlike Fisto, he had three or four whole lines...maybe two dozen words), but he managed to become one of the most well-loved (and mysterious) characters in the SW universe.
I would say, though, I'd like to have seen more of Kit in action...

I know what you mean, being a minor character doesn't mean that you aren't beloved, that's for sure.

Kit Fisto is one of my favorite characters cause his lightsaber ( with the two crystals ) works underwater. I'm reading Cestus right now, too, and it's really cool how Kit beat that "indestructable" droid.

Yeah Cestus Deception was a really good book. Kit Fisto is really butt-kick in it. He and Obi-wan get in a pretty nasty fix, but... oh I won't ruin the ending for ya.

I was so totally random when I wrote this, to the point that I don't really remember doing it. Lol. And Boba Fett's name was said in Episode VI...when Han is trying to find something to pull Lando up with, Chewie says something to him, and Han says' Boba Fett?" and then hits his jetpack with the rifle and he flies off, hits the sail barge and falls into the Pit of Carkoon.

Kit Fisto is pretty awesome. The friend that I saw Attack of the Clones with and I thought he was pretty cool, because he randomly shows up in a bunch of scenes in that movie. He just pops up, and always smiling.
Also, I personally like to sing "Can't touch this" replaced with "Kit Fisto" instead.

I love Kit Fisto too, the first time I saw AOTC and he pushes over the C-3PO battledroid and then just grins, I thought it was great! Definately my favourite minor charactor.
I'm so pleased he put up a bit of a fight against Palpatine, rarther than just dieing strait away like the other two,

Interesting take on Kit. I hadn't thought a whole lot about him, but you bring up some cool thoughts about him.
