It's Valentine's Day

So today is Valentine's Day, and for the 21st year in a row (I'm only 21) I am again single. The one person that I want to spend this day with is an hour and a half away. And that sucks. It seems that almost all of my friends are paired off and I'm left here with no one. It would be so much easier to just erase this holiday from the calender. We've decided that it was a holiday created by the card and candy companies to make some money. Actually though, it was originally a Pagan holiday that was christianized (like all other Pagan holidays).

Yeah...I really hate this holiday.

Don't worry. Your better off than me. Cause last thursday my gf who I really like and was real close to dumped me. So atleast you don't feel as depressed and I am on this day. And she dumped me for what I believed in. *sigh* Now I know how Anakin feels, like he was betrayed. I know some of my SW friends here have gone through what I am and I know you'll say it'll pass. It will its just hard. Sorry, I got carried away with myself. But I know how you feel.

date Posted: Feb 14, 2007 9:55 PM Oh My! I definately feel for anyone who feels lonely, depressed, or just plain Force-less when this thing rolls around every year. But the good thing is that it doesn't last long, it is of course Valentine's DAY, and will pass. Just be grateful for everything you have, keep your chin up, and if you still don't feel good, watch Star Wars!

Although being single is tough...especially with these "love holidays"...I relish in the fact that I do not have to worry about what someone else wants to do. As Mina and Lily said...enjoy this time and do what you want for yourself.

Independence is a great thing, and often young people in relationships don't get the chance to develop it. Now go get yourself some sale-priced chocolate!! (That's what I'm doing...)
