In every star wars movie R2-D2 saves the day, at least two times per movie. If they didn't have R2 the saga wouldn't have existed. They wouldn't have been able to fix the ship in TPM. So the tragedy in ROTS wouldn't have happened. You could say R2 is to blame for things turning out the way they did. George Lucas always said, "If I could be a character in Star Wars it would be R2-D2, because he always saves the day." Which is, true he does always save the day. I think R2-D2 is the most important character in the saga. What you guys do think? Is he? Give me your opinion or comments or theories.
