I have to respectfully disagree. Without his death Boba would never have become the deadliest bounty hunter in the world. If Jango lived, he would've learned more Mando-ish training, but what he had was raw talent.

I wish he wouldn't have died. Certainly Boba did not have to become a bounty hunter if he had been taken in by the Jedi. Some folks, maybe most folks, disagree with me on that, but I still think Boba could have been reformed.

If he had lived, Jango Fett would have ended up fighting against the very clones that bore his DNA marker. After all, as Dooku's guard, he was part of the Separatist movement. And I think that would have been a bit too odd.

Besides, I don't think a henchman has to remain alive because fans find him or her cool.

He had to die, otherwise all the great stories about Boba wouldn't have taken place. Boba became a hard, cold killer because he watched his father die and had to make it on his own from the age of ten

He didn't have to die but I agree, it would be odd trying to identify (when he would be out of his armor) which is the real Jango.

I think if Jango wouldn't have died that he would probably have taught Boba to fight and then send him off to the jedi for training now just think of what he would have become if he had jedi training?
