I'm sorry but Star Wars is way better than AVP. I am probably the biggest ALIEN and Predator fan around but those films lack complete respect to the originals. It's gotten to be a blood bath with bad acting and 20th Century Fox just put AVP together because they believe that the Alien and Predator franchises are no longer able to make money on their own. It's sad James Cameron was actually writing Alien 5 when Paul W.S Anderson pitched AVP to Fox. Cameron was hoping to let Ridley Scott direct Alien 5 but he got tired of steering big studios the right direction so he abondoned the project. They need to get back to basics with those films and treat it like it were a horror film with some action.

AVP is nowhere close to being Star Wars in terms of greatness.

I am a HUGE ALIEN fan and thought I 'liked' AVP, it sort cheesed me off that it was even done. After I watched it I liked it a bit more, I mean the two heavy hitter predatory aliens going head to head. I think the fact that I really disliked PREDATOR is what originally gave me a bad taste for it.

Now, I wouldn't mind some Jedi accidentally landing on a planet with ALIENS on it...Hmmmmmmmm.

OH, and yes, ALIEN was a horror movie, ALIENS took it into the action realm, although I liked it, steered it all away from the essence of the original.

Star Wars. No doubt about it. Even though the prequals were kinda weak and there are some inconsistencies, Star Wars tops AVP.

I prefer BMX Bandits myself. I've been waiting for a Special Edition/Director's Cut for almost 20 years.

Its not even a contest. Star Wars is better hands down, and it has nothing to do with Greivous. I enjoyed AVP. I think the second AVP movie, due out in theaters this Christmas, will be far better than the first. However, even it won't measure up to the saga.
