I have been constantly playing
Star Wars: Battlefront II for the past week. One mode in particular that has caught my fancy is the hunt mode.
When I began to undertake this new aspect of the
Battlefront universe, I wanted to be a Stormtrooper picking off little Ewoks. I thought, "Hey, this will be easy. I will just snipe these little guys and rack up a record kill count. Those little guys will be dropped faster than Terrell Owens gets dumped by any team he signs with."
Boy was I wrong! Those little guys made mince meat out of us Stormtroopers. As I attempted to snipe one, another would bang a rock off my head, knocking me down, while another would be throwing a spear into my side quickly ending my joy.
Therefore, today I now know never to
criticize the Ewoks for their help in defeating the Empire. Those little buggers can kick some major tail. They are ruthless, making my dreams into nightmares as I continually hear the Ewok theme music play in my head as they kick my rear end. Now, everytime I turn a corner, I think they might be there ready to pounce on me with 50 of their friends.
I still have yet to beat this level -- in elite mode mind you. But I will continue working for the Empire trying to defeat those little guys.
Nevertheless, now I must admit, I have much more respect for the Ewoks then I did before this experience. What was shown in ROTJ was a mere piece of what these little dudes are capable of.
So whenever you think, "Hey, those little guys can't beat the Empire's best soldiers," think again. They are the warriors that saved the galaxy. Jub-Jub!
