My latest find. "He's no good to me dead"!!
Hi again to all. Well I just got the one Star Wars item that I have been trying to get for a long time. The Illusive full size Han Solo in Carbonite. As you all probably know these are hard to come by and when they are on E-Bay they go for quite a bit. Well the one I found on E-Bay was an awesome deal. The only bad thing was it said no shipping, pick up only. I looked at where the guy was and it was Georgia, only about 3 hours drive for me. Now they made 2,500 of these and the number on this one was 70. Great low number. It was also signed by Mario Chiodo the head of Illusive...
So I had hit the reserve at 1,900.00 and was the high bidder. When the auction had like 5 minutes to go it jumps to 2,000.00. So I waited until there was about 35-40 seconds left and pop in 2,500.00. Man it was intense. I had my wife and a friend of ours standing behind me cheering me on. I win the thing for 2,250.00. I will be picking it up on Saturday. It will be the centerpiece of the Star Wars room in the new house. This baby is 7' tall. Sweet. So we will be moving in in the next 2 weeks. There is still some time left if anyone has suggestions for a name for the Star Wars room.
A lot of folks have given me some great names to consider. I will be making my decision in the next couple of days.
Later.

Nice!

A name for the Star Wars room? Uh...
"The Temple Archives"
"Wretched Hive of Figures and Models"
"A long time ago in a room far, far away."

I've wanted one of those for a while.

A name? Well, the obvious answer, now, at least, is "Jabba's Palace".

Unfortunately, I'm not creative that way to come up with a pun-ish name for your room.
Enjoy it, though! We have, technically, two Star Wars rooms in our house - our family room decorated with quite a SW theme, and our youngest daughter's room. With something SW in every room of the house, we have a Star Wars house!

To Mace Nguyendu,
Actually the auction didn't start at 70, that is the number on the plaque(70 out of 2500).
Once again great name suggestions.
Darth Viconte suggested Jabba's Palace which lead me to think "Jabba's Hutt". I think that's what the name will be since I got the frozen Han.

How's this for a name for your room....Vader's Palace, or Echo Base, or The Millenium Room, The Emporor's Throne Room, or The Death Star.

I consider this item one of holy grails I need for my collection. Not now, but someday IT WILL BE MINE.

I remember it originally being for $5000. Fantastic deal you got.
