Time Magazine Vote: Best Movie of All Time, The Godfather or Star Wars?

TIME's staff assembled a list of what they consider to be the 64 most popular films of all time -- and then they asked us to put them in order.

Over the past five rounds, that's exactly what we've done. Well, perhaps not us specifically. I only found out about it this morning after reading Bonnie's thread on the forums. But you get my point.

Anyhow - it's down to Star Wars vs. The Godfather.

Much like I've only seen ROTS once, I've never seen this "Godfather." I've heard it's pretty darned good, though. IMDb ranks The Godfather at #1 most popular film of all time, with Star Wars down at #8. Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings ranks third.

So when it comes to which is better, I'm not the best person to ask. Happily, they asked anyway, and I told 'em Star Wars.

Any good fan would.
