Lawmaker Vows to Honor Streaking Promise

WELLINGTON, New Zealand - A Green Party lawmaker who pledged to run naked through the streets if a rival party leader was re-elected said he will honor his word.

Of course, the simple fact of the matter is that this Keith Locke character lost the election BECAUSE he vowed to streak if he did. What were the voters' choices? Boring political same-old-same-old or the opportunity to see a lawmaker streak. I'd go for the latter.

I note that if an American congressman made a promise like that, they'd waste no time whatsoever actually keeping it. And if they did, it wouldn't "be artistic and involve body paint."

America's boring that way.
