The trials end...
well as you all know I tried out for American Idol this week and...............................................................................................................................................................I didn't make it...boohoo.....waaahhwaaahhhh........I'm so crushed....=(

Anywho, I had a great time this week in Philly, met some awesome people. inluding my boy 'man Leia'. He was the hairy dude at CIV dressed as Slave Leia, and yes he was dressed the same at the auditions! And YES, Ryan Seacrest really is THAT short! He's about the same height as me and I'm 5'5''. And I even saw his buttcrack while he was bent down talking to people giving us all a show of plumber butt! He is awfully cute in person. Shoulda flirted with him some more!

And for those of you that don't know this, the Idol auditions are ACTUALLY a week long process. First I had to register last Saturday, then the first set of auditions in front of a bunch of producers, interns, etc. on Monday, and if you make it through that one, which I did, you get to go in front of the two executive producers of the show, some Nigel guy and some other other dude on Wednesday, and if you make it through them, which I did, you FINALLY get to go in front of Simon, Randy and Paula on Saturday. Unfortunately once I got up in front of them, I allowed myself to choke up and actually LET the pressure get to me. My audition SUCKED, my vibrato and pitch were all out of wack and Randy said my song was just ''all over the place". I'd have to say I agree. I was hoping to get my golden ticket to Hollywood, seeing as I feel they could use a little more diversity in the people they choose. Of the girls that were chosen to go on, they all pretty much looked the same, dressed the same had their hair and make-up the same and basically looked like they walked off of a fashion shoot for the latest issue of Seventeen mag. Sorry I'm not a Ipod obsessed, cell phone addicted trendy girl! Oh well, maybe I'll take my chances next year. Or maybe not.

And even though I did not make it to Hollywood, I do not regret doing what I did. Like I said I met some great people, some with a genuine talent for music. Got to enjoy a little bit of the city, a stay at the Latham Hotel where I had valet service for the first time in my life, and they even have their own bottle of water in the room! The bed was pretty comfy too. My Grammy had a good time, her first time in the big city. She's from the Maine country. She was amazed at the tall buildings and the teeny elevator at the Hotel. Now I have to get her to New York and to the Empire State Building. Now there's a tiny elevator, to go 80 stories up! And if you've never been to Philly, you should make it a point to go there just for a good ol' fashioned Philly Cheese Steak. I stopped by a couple of times to this joint called Talk of the Town. Whatever they marinate or cook their meat in, it's BANGIN!! The steak is like BUTTA!!! MMMM soooo gooood! Damnit I want one now!

But anywho, that's a little story of my trip. Perhaps I will chronicle it further in a full length blog. So thanx for all the support from all of you! (and through all of my excitement of highs and lows, I totally forgot to give a shout out to all my StarWars blogging buddies! Dangit!!)

Well, this American Idol reject is off for now! TaTa!! May the Force be with Y'all!

Punk Leia out!
