"Don't you have a line to stand in?"
Hah. Standing in line is for people who don't have a severely inflamed wisdom tooth requiring dental surgery at the health profession's earliest convenience. On the other hand, people who have a severely inflamed wisdom tooth stay home being absolutely miserable, in a state which legally prohibits them from operating heavy machinery, and starting a blog.

It's not about getting the best seat. It's not even about seeing the movie. It's about seeing all those closet-hardcore Star Wars people I get to see in a parking lot every third year, but who are too skittish to show up anywhere else. It's also about the new hardcore people nobody's met yet because they weren't old enough for the last two. It's about giving the media rediculous answers to their nonstop inane questions, getting inadvertantly clocked with some kid's lightsaber, waking up at 4 in the morning for the 6th lap of the street sweeper, eating some stranger's gift of Wookiee Cookies after closely watching the first brave volunteer food taster to make sure he doesn't die, and getting eggs thrown at you from passing cars.

In short, it's not something you get to do every year. It's not something you'd want to do very often, but it's also not something we're ever going to get to do again.

I should have had those teeth pulled a long time ago...
