Taters got me down
Why are Darth Taters so incredibly hard to find in my neck of the woods?

I spent a good part of the day hitting several large toystore locations looking for the great Lord Tater, for a friend of mine. To my increasing alarm, he's back-ordered everywhere.

An employee of one of the larger chain locations helpfully informed us that, in at least their case, there was an established waiting list for the Great Spud for some time when their last shipment came in, and the guy in charge of unloading his truck managed to drop the box clear off the back end, damaging, denting and otherwise thrashing all the merchandise within. The whole shipment was deemed DOA and sent back.

My question is: How's the availablilty in your area? Are these chain stores simply following a national checklist for what to stock in each store regardless of local audience? Could we, perhaps, be part of the Sith Spud demand-vacuum inevitably centered around Idaho?

Hrm. Maybe I should look for my Spud Trooper online, when the time comes.

Parting Thought:
Anybody here watch Greg the Bunny enough to note the disturbing resemblance to Warren DeMontague?

I got 2 in early May - 1 for me and 1 for my nephew in San Diego at Walmart. Haven't been seen since.
