The Millenium Falcon is not the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy. I know when Han says this it is the fastest in hyperspace. But there are/were two ships that are faster than the Millenium Falcon.

In the New Jedi Order Mara Jade gets her third ship called the Jade Shadow. Both the Millenium Falcon and the Jade Shadow have a class 0.5 hyperdrive but since the Shadow is more streamlined and aerodymanic it is faster in hyperspace. Although the Shadow is faster than the Falcon a ship that Anakin once owned callled the Jabitha is faster than them both with a class 0.4 class hyperdrive and goes almost twice as fast as them in hyperspace. The Jabitha was a living ship created by the living planet Zonama Sekot. Unfortunately for the ship it died when Zonama Sekot went into hyperspace to hide.
