So, once again, I stand here, finding myself apologizing for my rude and unexplained absence...I'm sure at least a few of you wondered where I went. (I didn't say you
cared where I went, I just said 'wondered'...

)
To be frank, I have drifted from the great sanctity that is Star Wars...I've stopped poring over my
Star Wars Insider magazines, stopped gorging myself on Star Wars literature, stopped shopping for vintage action figures. I no longer visit the blogs 7 times a day; no longer do I dream up new lightsaber hilts, or obsess of my costume design for Celebration IV.
Now, before you go binding me up and casting me out into outer darkness (where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth,) let me just say that this is not the first time this has happened to me. My geek-boy fandom occasional waxes and wanes, drifting from one thing to another...but I often find myself return to my first sci-fi fantasy- Star Wars.
Is this one of those 'returns'? Not really. Ever since the reopening of one of my other obsessions,
Myst Online: Uru Live, I have been wrapped up in the return of this most unique venture, as well as the world and community it entails. I had developed many friends there I had thought lost, and now that it's back...well, it's pretty much become my focus.
...Yet I'm sitting here, typing another entry in my blog. (Considering I've
paid for this, it's kind of a shame to let it sit here and fester...

)
Even the return of Uru Live shouldn't have sapped all my focus. On top of that, I've got schoolwork looming over my head, an impending move to California, and a long list of stuff I wouldn't dare bore you with. All these have conspired to rip me away from the community here... but, what can I say? I keep coming back. Maybe this is one of my 'returns' after all.
I don't really have anything to blog about, or any ideas brewing...but that doesn't mean I'm
gone. You might find me hanging around from time to time. Who knows? Maybe even a brilliant strike of inspiration will hit me and I'll whip out some mind-boggling blog series.
Other than that, well...I'll keep you posted.
As always, I love to hear your comments.
