I'm sorry but I don't get it.
I really loved X-Men 3. I think it was the best one yet. Why are so many "fans" against it?
Was it less true to the comics?
I guess it depends on which comics you read. Maybe it didn't get the Dark Phoenix saga exactly right, but it didn't completely ruin it either.
So what if Jean didn't have flaming wings? I guess some people would have preferred the yellow spandex suits as well.
Phoenix was set up very well to become the all-powerful master of the universe that she is in the dark phoenix saga. This was only the beginning.
What about all of the mutants? The way our heroes acted? The cheesy humor? What about the deaths of major characters? What about some of them losing their powers? All of this was directly out of the comics.
Didn't like the change? Then what are you a "fan" of exactly? Brian Singer? Or the X-Men comics?
Chime in with your thoughts of the film. Love it or hate it? Or
somewhere in between?
How was it better or worse than X1 or X2? And especially, how was it truer (or less) to the comics?
Thanks!
PS. Sorry about the pic. It's the closest I could find to an X-Men comic scene.
EDIT: I just found an
excellent bloggers review which shares my feelings on the film exactly in a much more eloquant way than I could express. Check it out!
