Army of Brothers
It's been a long time since I've blogged, eh? Well, things have been busy. But, not TOO busy, as yesterday I got a brand new, $100 editing program to pursue my film editing hobby. Inspiration hit me like a freight train today, and I cranked out a beautiful, stirring tribute to our guys in white, all the little Jango Fetts, the clones. Patterned after the intro the "Band of Brothers", and even absconding with the music, I'm ridiculously proud of this piece of work. I have it up on MySpace, and it should be on YouTube also, soon.

A short comment on this piece; for the "Based on the book by" credit (which goes to Stephen Ambrose in the original "Band of Brothers" series), I realized the perfect person to write a gritty, heartfelt memoir of the clones' struggle would clearly be Karen Traviss. After she captured the clone commandos so perfectly in her two books (so far), she's ready to do this. I would love to see it.

That was the most amazing thing i have ever seen (next to the actual movies of course!). I loved band of brothers, and of course, star wars just makes everything better.

NICELY DONE! What software you using? It does a great job, as do you. Like George and so many others have said. We live in a time where anybody can be a filmmaker and it's the shining few under the radar that are going to reinvent how we look at movies.

That is a pretty freaking awesomne bit. It would also make a great lead in to the TV series whenever it happens to come out. (and I've never even seen Band Of Brothers)

I honed my skills, as it were, on Windows Movie Maker, which everybody who as XP has, but, as befitting a freebie program, it's not so hot. I recently purchased Pinnacle Studios, which is considered one of the higher end editing programs available to the general public, and it shows, I'm really impressed.
