100th BLOG EXTRAVAGANZA!! |
 How do you celebrate a 100th blog? Party? Quiet dinner? Night out on the town? Champagne, roses & strawberries? I have spent the last 3 days musing the possibilities. They all seem like great ideas until I try to write something . Then, I kick in my computer screen, toss it in the trash, take a new monitor from my desk drawer and begin again.
What were all the ideas? I'm not sure you want to know. I wanted my 100th blog to be funny, insightful, meaningful, dramatic, important, memorable, all that good stuff. So what did I decide on? I almost wrote an "Exploding Star Wars Toys" entry, but I'll save that for #101.
Behold! I give you:
THE HYPERSPACE ROAST OF OBOE-WAN!!
Welcome to the first centennial blog anniversary roast of Oboe-Wan. I am opening myself up to the jokes & ridicule. Remember, for all intents & purposes I AM a blue twi'leck Jedi with a purple lightsaber. Blue milk on the house, Hors d'oeurves will be coming around shortly on silver trays, so cool your jets.
Please stay in your seats, do not light anything on fire, zoo animals are not allowed on the premises and for the love of all that is sacred, do not, I repeat: DO NOT touch my Wookiee.
The Rules:
1) I cannot defend myself. Isn't that the point of the roasts! I will make a point of responding at the very end.
2) Be funny, be witty, be sarcastic, be totally crazy!
3) Most important: do not break any rules of sw.com. This is not a 100% free-for-all! Though I won't comment, I can still use my blacklist button and rest assured, my bodyguard will be watching the activity here closely.
Let the roasting begin!! Quick question before we start: was it completely necessary to tie me up over this spit? It's rather uncomfortable...

I promise not to touch your Wookie, I'm not one for " Walking Carpets" anyway  . Besides, I might get a HAIR in my Blue Milk  That would be gross and I might CHOKE, and I wouldn't want to steal the lime light away from our dearest Padme'. The guard won't let the ewok in. The ewok says, "Yub Nub, Nub Yub, Yub Yub, Nub Yub, Yub Nub, Nub Nub, YUB!!" (What do you mean, no animals!) The guard replies, "No zoo animals."
Then the ewok says, "EWOK ANGRY!!!!!" and starts beating the guard with a stick.The guard retaliates, but suddenly an army of ewoks come from the woods and overtake him.
The ewok says, "Let's Party!"

Then all the ewoks dance and party for approximately 2 1/2 hours before Big Daddy, the leader of the ewoks comes. He says, "Let's Party!!" and they dance for another hour. After all that dancing, the ewoks are tired and hungry. They decide to form a team to infiltrate the roast and steal all the food and blue milk. Well, five ewoks put on their spy jumpsuits and head into the party. [Cue Mission Impossible music.] They get caught and are charged with attempted theft of blue milk and are sentenced with death. All the ewoks attack, but they are defeated when Oboe-Wan uses her shiny protocol droid to act like a god and they all bow down. In the end, Oboe-Wan has a happy 100th blog and they all like happily ever after.

Well, I've known Oboe-Wan for a little over 5 months now, and it seems like a lifetime - seriously, I could've done less hard time for manslaughter.
She seems determined to force her culinary concoctions down our throats, force-feeding us until we are all Huttesque - like a skinny blue twi'lek needs fat friends to look slimmer.
She's really got her finger on the pulse of cutting edge technology - hey, she finally got a PS2, after years of trying to play Super Star Wars on her abacus.

But seriously, what is with these twi'lek chicks and their appendages? Those two pointy things twirl around, distracting everyone and making it hard take them seriously - and their head tails are quite annoying too.
And what's with the purple saber honey? The only thing you have in common with the Mace Man is the lack of a decent weave on your head.

So I've just come back from Las Vegas. It's the only thing to do if you find yourself there.
No, in all fairness there is one thing to come out of Vegas that is very dear to us all; one thing which has touched us in a very meaningful way. But that's enough about CSI.
Oboe's cooking is something, though; it reminds me of my gran's. Yep, she used the smoke detector as a meal timer, too.
Well, that's Oboe-Wan folks; she blogs, she cooks, she plays. Is there no beginning to her talents?
