Wow! In 1978 my mother spent $10.99 on a plastic C-3PO costume because I would not shut up about Star Wars. It was a cold cold Halloween night, I remember stuffing myself into my winter coat then putting the costume on over the top. Thankfully my mother had the foresight to buy the costume a size larger so I didn't look like a stuffed sausage!
