Live From Oboe-Wan's Kitchen: Episode 4
Today I'm going to impart upon all ye bakers my mother's super secret peanut butter cookie recipe. To this day, I have never tasted a better peanut butter cookie. In fact, I absolutely refuse to make any others besides this one. I love to give this recipe out ONLY after people have tasted them and declare them "the best peanut butter cookie [they] have ever tasted."

But you, my faithful fans, are going to get the recipe without having to drive all the way to my house or pay for shipping to have me send them to you.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT worry about the cookies as you mix them together. All will turn out fine. Just trust me....

Ok, ready? Here goes:

1 Cup peanut butter
1 Cup granulated sugar
1 egg

Mix together, drop by rounded spoonful on to ungreased cookie sheet and gently flatten w/a fork. Bake at 375 for 8 minutes

Did you catch that? Want me to repeat it?

1 Cup peanut butter
1 Cup granulated sugar
1 egg

Mix together, drop by rounded spoonful on to ungreased cookie sheet and gently flatten w/a fork. Bake at 375 for 8 minutes.

That's it. That's all there is to it. The trick, though, is to not overcook them. When your buzzer goes off, take them out of the oven - don't worry about the color or consistency. Just take them out, let them set for a few minutes, then cool them on a nice flat surface. I usually wait a few hours before eating them, and so should you. The real magic comes after they cool down.

You can use any kind of peanut butter you want - chunky or smooth, Jiff, Skippy, Peter Pan, generic. I've never tried this w/natural peanut butter, though, and I don't recommend it - all that extra oil may make your cookies runny. Yuck. But remember, the better the peanut butter, the better your cookies. ;)

I hope they turn out to be the best you've ever made. They're quick. They're simple. And gosh darn it, they taste great.

yup! No flour! And, they take about 3 minutes to throw together!

My mom can't remember where she got this recipe, but I remember making them with her as a kid because it's just so simple! Now I make them w/my son and he is more than capable of handling the millions of ingredients needed!

Jedilily, I edited it so it said Cup! Good point! :D

I'll def try this one tonight for my watching of Star Wars.

However, I cannot watch Revenge of the Sith. Why, you ask? Because Oboe-Wan has corrupted the mind of the Jaren you love and worship.

Yes, now, when I see Aayla with the pose in Oboe's avatar (which has nothing to do with oboes...I demand a musical avatar!) I automatically think "Must...make...toy...explode!" or "must...post...recipe...and...refer...to...Vegas...as...Tatooine!" I can't even look at the word "oboe" anymore!

DOWN WITH OBOE-WAN!

Great! Now I only have to remember 2,734,503 more ingredients! You're supposed to count the sugar crystals, right..? ;)

Hey, I play the Oboe! Don't say I'm dorky! I'm a band nerd and a cheerleading freak (what's wrong with this picture?)!! :x
No, just messing with you. I made GMEA this year, but I couldn't go to finals because there was cheerleading finals. :( Sorry for taking up your comment space!
