Live From Oboe-Wan's Kitchen: Episode 7
Ok, ewanandhaydenfan5, this one goes out to you, then my friend!!!

GREEDO SAUCE

2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic (fresh or from a jar is ok)
2 Cups heavy cream (do not, I repeat: do not use milk!)
2 Cups fresh grated parmesan cheese
parsley
salt
pepper
nutmeg

1) In a non-stick or non-reactive medium sauce pan over medium high heat, saute the olive oil and garlic until the garlic is tender (just about a minute). Reduce heat to medium or medium low.

2) To the same pot, add the cream. Heat until warmed through, being very careful not to allow it to boil or scorch!

3) Gradually add in the cheese a little bit at a time - stirring constantly with a whisk to prevent lumps. Add in as much cheese as you need to make the sauce thicker than the cream, but not so thick it turns into a paste!

4) After all the cheese is added, throw in some parsley & salt & pepper to taste. And one dash of nutmeg. Stir constantly until you are ready to serve.

Serving suggestions:
** Drain your pasta and return it to the pot you cooked it in. Stir the Alfredo Sauce into the pasta before serving for a lighter coating.

** Add in fresh veggies - anything green goes great! Sweet peas, green beans, broccoli, roasted cherry tomatoes, just raid the fridge or the produce section of the grocery store!!

** Serve pasta first, then pour the sauce over for a bigger serving of sauce!

** Play around with the ratio of cheese to cream for different textures.

Mmmmmmm...Sounds yummy! My family just drove through one step closer to the grave with a delectable meal from the BKLounge (aka Burger King)...which I refused to partake in. Maybe I'll run to the store and buy this stuff and eat something REAL...

Mmmmmmm.....

I personally like BK,though I hate Mcrapnalds (aka McDonalds;)).I think that Chick-Fillet
is the cleanest fast-food place with Wendy's as second cleanest (which I like better than Chick Fillet but less than BK).

Sounds tasty, indeed . . . and, oh so simple to make (a real plus in our household!). It gets a thumbs up here, and the ingredients definitely will make it on to the shopping list. Thanks for the recipe! (and I like the tie in to SW)

Glad everyone's so excited! This is my favorite sauce to make - and like with the "fried" version, it's really easy to simplify at need.

Nope, no cilantro just yet.... that yummy recipe is yet to come....

Yes, chicken goes VERY well with it. I used to have my hubby grill the chicken w/ just a little bit of salt, pepper, maybe some Italian seasonings, then cut it up in to strips before serving. Red meats do not work at all with this. Shrimp might be good, too, but I wouldn't know because my hubby is dangerously allergic to shellfish so I can't even bring that stuff into the house.
