We're just friends. Honest.

How did this come about? This picture was taken during the summer of 2003, at Fox Studios Australia. Gentle Giant Studios had taken over some of the office space, converting it into a laser-scanning and photography area. It was Plo Koon's turn to go under the laser, and I was there documenting the process via webcam. By that time, I had already struck up a good friendship with the folks in the Droid Unit -- which included technician Matt Sloan, who moonlighted as Plo Koon during the shoot. The end result of goofing around during Plo's measurement photos is this picture, that finally found its way into our weekly caption contest.

And though it looks like all smiles, that may in fact be a grimace of pain. Those pointy things on Plo's mask are digging into my head.
