About a year ago, I wrote this blog about how the Internet thinks Hordak from He-Man is more important than King Constantine I of Greece.

Today, I saw this great article at Something Awful, one of my favorite website (the article linked below is safe, but I'll caution you to be careful when clicking around SA. It gets a bit raw). It describes the art of Wikigroaning, which is kind of what I was doing in that initial blog.

Their examples are hilarious. The Wikipedia entry on "Modern Warfare" clocks in at around 1,900 words, while "Lightsaber Combat" has about 10,800 words.

And there are other fantastic examples. Where else but on the Internet is Armageddon the movie more important than the concept of Armageddon? Where Marvel's Civil War outshines the actual American Civil War. The comparison of "Girlfriend" vs. "Video Game" is pretty funny too.
