HOLONET NEWS IS....
... COMING BACK.

After a fashion. I'm excited about this, because we finally (I think) found a way to make it work in the face of evolving Clone Wars continuity. I can't say much more just yet, but you'll soon be able to sample its new iteration. It'll be back online, in a new format, but it will hopefully still deliver all that crunchy continuity and living-in-the-galaxy goodness you liked way back in 2002-2004.

More info coming soon!

I'm interested how this will work and still not nail down a timeframe of events. That always seems to be the biggest problem. Oh, and yes, I'm excited too!

I joined the Star Wars community too late to enjoy Holonet News. Nonetheless, I'm excited that it has come back!

That's such great news, Pablo!
And it seems now you have enough time to do that after finishing work in the Encyclopedia, right?

I'm excited. I've been a little disappointed with the light content on the site lately and hope this helps bring some new content to the table.

I never got to see the original play out just from the archives and the way back machine. Do the old ones still exist or were they deleted with the redesign?

Fantastic! Holonet News was one of the best Source ideas ever. It had great art, funny and interesting stories and a bunch of source information.

If only the Visual Guides were to continue on the Official site as well. Then I'd be really, really happy :)

Great to hear! That was one of the best features on the site, and one of the most creative tie-ins to Episode II. I'm looking forward to its return.

This is good news! I'll be curious to see if there are any retconned dates for some of the no-longer up-to-date HNN stories (like the Jabiimi edition) and to see if the new articles confirm some of the dates I've given to the older CW material (most of which are in months 5-7).

How many ways are there to say "THANK YOU" without getting too creepy into the "I LUV YOU" territory???

Awesome, awesome, awesome. :) Hm, will it just be TCW news? And will we get to see more great Joe Corroney art (I hope so!), or will it be all... you know... cartoony?

Regardless, I'm excited. I loved HNN... AOTC had some nice semi-"viral" marketing before that became *the* thing to do...

Well, back in May 2007, Pablo said that Rookies: Day Long Remembered would be illustrated by Joe Corroney.

When can we expect to see that anyway, or can we? Has it been shelved to make room for the Clone Wars webcomics that are on the way? And have they changed their minds any more times over whether both or either of the comics are going to be Hyperspace only or not?

I love the Holonet News. You know what I always wanted to see? That the ads actually linked off to some website about some nifty GFFA service like proboscis cleaning or somesuch.

Anyways, I am very happy to here the HN is back.

The show is great! Sadly, people who don't use iTunes and don't want to manually download each episode are out of luck. There's no RSS feed for the HNN. :(

So, I went ahead and made one myself: http://feeds.feedburner.com/StarWars/HoloNetNews

Just copy and paste the URL into your favorite podcatcher, and you're ready to go! Now anyone can have the HNN bulletins download straight to their favorite podcast program! I will update the feed ASAP whenever a new HNN bulletin is released. If Lucas Online provides an official feed, I change the internal FeedBurner URL. You won't have to change a thing on your end. Enjoy!
