Moving Day - September 16
http://blogs.starwars.com/lucasonline/14/

In case you missed it in the Lucas Online multiblog...

As head's up to the daily readers of starwars.com: we will not be publishing on September 16. Don't worry, it's for a good reason.

That's our moving day. For the past few weeks, we've been dilligently packing our offices up for the big move from the Big Rock campus of Skywalker Ranch to the new Letterman Digital Arts Center at the Presidio. Already, many of our coworkers have moved there, but the bulk of Lucasfilm Ltd. is the last to move in.

It's a big change from being secluded in the green hills of Marin County. We're now transplanted to the big city of San Francisco in a very visible, very public location. No, that doesn't mean that people can drop by and take a look inside our offices. As a place of business, we're still closed to the public. But we're in a public park space.

Our Presidio home will house not only Lucasfilm and Lucas Online, but also LucasArts and ILM, so we'll finally be in one place. I think this will translate into greater inside access for Lucas Online, since we're just a stroll away from the exciting activities underway in other parts of the company.

So, we won't be publishing on September 16, and may be taking it a bit lightly as we settle into our new place, unpack our moving boxes, and set up our new offices. Perhaps the webcam will be there to capture to the new facility for everyone to see.

See you on the other side of the Golden Gate bridge!
