Excellence in Journalism -- How Easily They Forget
Today from FOX news, fair and balanced coverage of the King Kong premiere party in New York. In all, a fairly innocuous you-are-there type piece, which has some interesting quotes from George Lucas regarding Indy 4, and how long Star Wars will last (forever, right? Well...)

Anyway, let's skip to the middle...

Lucas told me though that he doubts "King Kong" will get an Oscar nomination for Best Picture, even though it should.

"These kinds of movies rarely do," said the director of six blockbuster movies that were never nominated either.

Hmm. Lucas has indeed directed six movies, though only five would really qualify as blockbusters. And of those five, two were nominated for best picture: Star Wars and American Graffiti.
