Rookies: No Turning Back -- Week Six Annotations
Monday, Strip 24 -- Further bridging the prequel and classic trilogies, I wanted to have the stormtroopers evoke a feeling of Cody's clone troopers in Episode III. In fact, if you look at the previous strip, #23, I have one of the stormtroopers respond, "Yes, sir. Right away," which is from Temuera Morrison's clone dialogue in Episode III.

There are six stormtroopers rappelling to the side entrance that the Rookies crawled through last week. Also, from the looks of the crate, they've brought some toys.

Tuesday, Strip 25 -- Some of this dialogue is adapted from the "Adventure Script" included in Rebel Breakout. Specifically:

4th Rebel: So much for our glorious career in the Rebel Alliance. There's a galactic war going on and we're playing hide and seek.

And that's, of course, R2-D0.

Wednesday, Strip 26 -- It's an exposition heavy week, so bare with me. This strip is mostly taken from the adventure script as well, with a few cosmetic changes.

Thursday, Strip 27 -- Again, more from the script, with some customized interjection for Kestrel to goad Raal.

Friday, Strip 28 -- And again, more dialogue adaptation. But that's it. That's where the adventure script and the strip part ways.

I will be off on vacation next week, but I worked hard to ensure Rookies doesn't miss a strip, so it will continue.
