Emperor Palpatine. The most powerful Sith Lord the galaxy has ever seen, and he just would not die! The character of Emperor Palpatine has always interested me. He eminates an aura of weakness and detrimental old age. Yet he unleashes powerful and deadly bolts of sizzling lightning from his fingertips, wields a blood-red lightsaber 500 times faster than anyone else, and even kicked the great Yoda's butt.

Besides that, he is portrayed by perhaps one of the best actors in the entire Star wars saga (next to Alec Guiness, Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee...and Harrison Ford). Ian McDiarmed is a masterful actor who brings the essence of evil to the screen. Tell me, is there anyone out there who actually likes Palpatine as a character or the man who portrays him?
