I've tried hard to read the expanded universe novels, but a lot don't seem to "grab" me. So far the only ones I've finished are The Courtship of Princess Leia, The New Rebellion, Paradise Snare, and Heir to the Empire. I've heard the New Jedi Order books are very good, but I want to have some background first. AND I want to read the newer books with all the plot twists!

Does anyone have any suggestions to "get into" the SW novels? I'm reading Truce at Bakura right now and I really hope I don't give up. Pathetic, I know, but I with fight through and conquer the EU!
