I had actually picked up the racing brochure pictured in the article a few years ago and wondered what had happened to the speeder -- did it share the same fate as the legendary Star Wars Celica (which is still MIA)?

Fortunately, I came across the speeder on one of my routine eBay searches a few months ago and contacted the owner for a story. I'm hoping to post a follow-up once it finds a new home after the auction. Stay tuned for updates...
