I had the oppurtunity to purchase Dark Lord on its release date. I was hoping to be able to squeeze a little reading in during Thanksgiving. Luckily for me, the time for reading came. And I must say, this book surpassed my expectations.

alright here they come......





Starting of with the first few chapters. Wow what a good way to start off a story following escaped Jedi. You actually begin during the clone wars as opposed to directly after. You follow a group of Jedi led by Roan Shryne and his alloted clone troops on there raid of Murkhana during the last few hours of the war.

The action begins immediately with the battle. Followed by some secret plans by the emperor. Then of course, order 66. The interesting thing is, the troopers dont act as you may guess. (hope that doesnt give it away)
The way the order was played out was awesome, and fulfills all the fans wishes that a few jedi may have survived.

Another interesting side of the story is Vader's emotional struggle. It's really an extension of the emotions in episode 3, plus some. He is obviously not pleased with his new suit, or the Emperor who provided it for him. He realizes how betrayed he really was. Awesome bit of reading!

Trying not to give away too much of the story I will say that the action seems to continue without the story, and the book is a fairly easy read. Thanks of course to Mr.Luceno who tends to write in very very small chapters. Lots of good stopping points. Easy to pick up and put down quickly while in a rush.

I hope that through what I have revealed it encourages you to read the novel. It's really great if you loved Episode 3.
