Star Wait & Fans Gone Wild!
Let's face it, most of the fun that comes out of Star Wars for serious fans is that fact that you get to hang out with other Star Wars fans. Midnight line-ups, though they are created in anticipation of the movie, really are there so that fans can have a good time being fans.

I spent 10 hours in line last May for Revenge of the Sith and I wish I could go back and experience it over and over and over. I had such a blast with everyone considering that I'm not really in with the local fan club and don't really get together with anyone locally. (except you Tosche)

So in November when I went to buy Episode 3 on DVD I stumbled across Star Wait, which was selling for 10 bucks right next to the Star Wars DVD. I picked it up and took it home hoping I could relive some of the fun of a line up.

The DVD rocked! It was filmed during the April/May 2002 during the line up for Episode II. It was about the group waiting outside the Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood, CA. It's a somewhat amateur film, and hard to really call a documentary. You easily become attached with the main group of characters out in line, and makes you wish even more that you could go back and relive the line experience.

The movie was originally a series of web episodes posted online following the group's six week line up but the decision was made to continue and make this into a DVD. The following link is to the website for Star Wait

One of the members of the line named Art Douglas and a few other guys decided to make a some videos, and of course a DVD of the Episode 3 line and its members. They named their website LiningUpTv in co ordinance with the fan club running the line's name, which is LiningUp.net. links..

I recently ordered the DVD made about the Episode 3 line and will hopefully receive it sometime this week. The people in line really seem like a great group of people and if I lived in Los Angeles metro I would definitely have been out there with them. I strongly recommend the Star Wait and LiningUpTv: Fans Gone Wild DVD's.
